ICE – invited by Bahar Temiz |2020

Ice = a solo by Bahar Temiz on the vastness of an icy, white landscape.

Bahar chose as a central element in her choreography different ropes that were activated into carefully composed drawings.

Meryem Bayram designed a scenography that provided another layer, a motorized object that during the performance can been seen as an installation, autonomous, detached from the ongoing dance performance but connected by its form.  A winding rope that slowly moves from the start of the performance till the public is gone. An ongoing element, related to the dramaturgy of the piece. It can been seen as a part of the search for meaning in icescapes and also autonomously, as an installation.

What Ice takes it keeps. A travel through amorphism, a snow white landscape,  till where it can go.
